This superb hand-crafted dreadnought re-interprets the look and sound of the Depression Era six-string large body guitar as only Huss and Dalton case. It is comprised of hand-selected East Indian rosewood back and sides, with the coveted Adirondack "Red" spruce top. It sports Waverly #1129 Special Issue Vintage Oval button tuning machines, and it is comfortably housed in its tweed hard shell plush lined case. This guitar is mind-blowingly fine sounding, in part due to that Adi top, that is extremely wide-grained, the carved and rolled for correct intonation Long Bone bridge saddle (Long John's cousin), the grained ivoroid top and back bindings, the ivoroid-black side purfling (found on each side as well as the back and the celluloid end graft), the all solid, all actual mahogany, one-piece neck with no 'ears' on the beautifully squared headstock, the ivoroid heel cap, the carved diamond volute, the zipper backstripe bordered in black and creme, the herringbone top trim, the fiber and celluloid three ring soundhole bordering, the beveled edge tortoise-type teardrop pickguard, and the prettiest striped and straight-grained East Indian sides and back as you have ever sawed.
