However we are not a Larrivee dealer and cannot represent it as being new.   The result:  you get a discount.  But you also get all of the warranty papers and Care and Feeding booklets and other accoutrements of a new guitar, in the case pocket.

#3971, in very good plus condition with original hard shell case.

The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is the most popular steel-string acoustic guitar body shape in the world. While Collings is certainly not the only company to build them, they bring a new tonal clarity to the depth and warmth usually associated with such a large, deep-bodied guitar. Although its bass response makes the dreadnought ideal for vocal accompaniment, Collings versions are also often employed by bluegrass flatpickers who must compete with inherently louder instruments such as banjos and fiddles.

This guitar, with its beautiful shaded top finish, has herringbone wood marquetry top border, etched diamond inlay black ebony fingerboard, a through bridge saddle, a 1 23/32nd” nut width, 2 3/16th” string bridge spacing.   It has a beveled edge prewar style teardrop pickguard.   This is a colossally fine sounding instrument – you have no idea how good it is until you try it, but I have to say that it blows many minds around here.   It is astonishingly loud and full frequencied.
