Guild started making classical guitars in 1961. Steeped in Spanish and German traditions, Guild classical guitars were considered the pinnacle of classical instruments at the time. The Nylon Series guitars come from those same traditions, combining fine craftsmanship and true value with modern features.

The GAD-4N nylon-string cutaway features a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, bone nut, bone compensated saddle, one-piece mahogany neck, all-wood binding and purfling, ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, 1 ¾” nut width, 650 mm scale length, and D-TAR Timber-Line under-saddle pickup with endpin jack.

These guitars come in a hard shell case so beautiful (tweed/pebble with leatherette bindings) that when people see the case they actually gasp. The usual comment is “How can Guild offer such a fine guitar in such a magnificent case for so little money?” We are proud to carry this line of guitars, and extremely pleased with their production quality and sound.
