Fender ® (used, 1962) Showman 15 guitar amplifier

Tag No 59-0033 Used

#00046, which is comprised of a separate head and speaker cabinet, in excellent condition.

An example of the earliest version of this style amplifier, this Tolex covering is called “rough blonde” since it has a pebble finish and the color is, well, blonde, while the grille cloth is an oxblood color. The overall condition is excellent, though it shows some stains and minor discoloration it remains quite original and displaying less wear than one usually sees. It is largely original, however we are in the process of having some necessary maintenance performed (probably long overdue after 47 to 49 years). Here is the work we are doing: 1) Install new fuse holder using vintage replica parts available. 2) Install matched quad of new production 6L6 tubes. 3) Install six (6) NOS GE or Sylvania 12AX7 tubes. 4) Set the bias for the new tubes, clean the pots and jacks. 5) Replace all filter capacitors. We will, of course, bag all of the original parts and return them with the back of the amp head to ensure the originality of the amplifier. The amp is otherwise completely original. All the transformers have the correct part numbers on them and all resistors and capacitors appear to be unmolested. It just needed some tender TLC which we have provided. It is now ready for another fifty years of robust rock and roll revelry.
