This is a slope shouldered dreadnought with a dark sunburst top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, Adirondack spruce top and what appears to be an exquisitely figured walnut head plate, snowflake fingerboard inlays.

Simple lines complement the look of this superb open-back banjo.   Equally simple dowel stick construction with a 12” rim and frailing scoop make this a perfect choice for old time or round peak traditional styles.   This version has the famous Tubaphone tone ring that was invented by the Vega Banjo Company and first utilized in a production instrument back in 1909.   One of the first, and most successful, tone rings of its time the Tubaphone, originally spelled Tu-Ba-Phone predates the Gibson Mastertone tone ring by at least 16 years.  This was $1,747 but is NOW ON SALE.

Its top is bordered in “rope” wood marquetry of alternating crème and black parallelograms, and the top has twin rings of rope that form a sort of slightly separated, wide herringbone appearance.  The bridge is ebony and has a rolled (compensated) bone drop-in saddle; the sides are bound in rosewood with a thin line of ebony-spruce-ebony on each border and also the back; the back stripe is small zipper wood marquetry.

This superb hand-crafted dreadnought re-interprets the look and sound of the Depression Era six-string large body guitar as only Huss and Dalton case.  It is comprised of hand-selected East Indian rosewood back and sides, with the coveted Adirondack "Red" spruce top.  It sports Waverly #1129 Special Issue Vintage Oval button tuning machines, and it is comfortably housed in its plush lined case. This guitar is mind-blowingly fine sounding.

A 12” diameter “round peak” style old time banjo (sans tone ring – they also make another version with a Tubaphone tone ring) that sounds plunky and woody and saturates our senses with 1930s redolence.
